On September 30th, the University of Bosaso held its annual New Student Orientation, welcoming the Class of 2024 to the campus community. Approximately 500 hundred students, selected from a highly competitive pool of applicants, were warmly welcomed during the orientation event. One of the highlights of the day was a heartfelt speech by the University management, academic and administrative staff, who warmly welcomed the new students and urged them to strive for excellence in their academic pursuits. In addition, the deans of each faculty shared words of encouragement, expressing their gratitude for the students’ choice of the University of Bosaso and reaffirming their commitment to guiding them throughout their academic journey in the academic year 2024-2025.
The students, registered across five distinct faculties—Social Science, Medicine and Health Sciences, Commerce and Modern Management, Sharia and Islamic Studies, and Computer Science and Technology—were ushered to the city campus premises following the orientation program.
An exciting development for the Class of 2024 is the unveiling of a world-class newly built City Campus designed to meet the needs of incoming students. The campus features modern classrooms, collaborative study spaces, and upgraded student services, creating an environment conducive to learning and students comfort. The new facility is located behind Karama 1 building along the junction of Da’awa Mosque road.
For those who were unable to attend the event, a full video recap of the orientation is available on the university’s Facebook page and website.
