It has been a long journey to reach this level. The efforts and hard work has eventually paid off. University of Bosaso was initiated in 2006 by well known Somali intellectuals who realized the local needs for quality higher education whilst sharing their knowledge and skills with the local population in Puntland.

It is now 15 years since the institution was conceived. Recently we embarked on tangible changes ranging from institutional internal quality assurance, expansionary strategies, community outreach and external linkages and partnerships.
