Academics Office
The University of Bosaso is open to applicants without regard to clan, ethnic or national origin, creed, or sex. Applicants for admission must furnish evidence of good character, and of sufficient academic preparation and ability to do the work required.
Since the University is not a state-supported institution, enrollment is not limited to residents of Bosaso nor is any distinction made on this basis in entrance requirements or tuition and fees.
The University seeks high school students who have pursued a curriculum of college preparatory courses including all subjects designed by the republic of Somalia. Applicants pursuing a discipline in the sciences are encouraged to have science subjects. Depth in English language is advised.
The University has adopted a test-optional policy for students seeking admission for the spring 2023 or fall 2024 terms. The Admission Committee treats all applicants as individuals and is especially watchful for areas of individual accomplishment and talent. Each applicant is evaluated as part of a holistic review process.
Enrolments
The office of academic registrar enrolment targets comprises all continuing students, readmissions and anticipated new students registered in programs offered by a Faculty. In order to achieve stable enrolments over time, the available admission and readmission spaces in a program are adjusted each year according to the number of continuing students currently enrolled and projected for the next four years.
